The origin of the Party Festival is to commemorate the birth of the Communist Party of China established a festival, "July 1" as the party's birth anniversary, the earliest seen in the central document is June 1941. The origin of the name "Communist Party of China"

In August 1920, Chen Duxiu initiated the founding of the first early organization of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai. On September 1, 1920, in his article "My View of the Current Situation" published in the New Youth, Chen Duxiu called "Our Party" the "Socialist Party", which was later changed to "the Communist Party".

The name "Communist Party of China" was first proposed by CAI Hesen.  On the basis of his investigation of the Communist Parties of Western Europe, especially the Russian Communist Party, he put forward specific steps to build the party, including "blatantly and formally establishing a Chinese Communist Party."

Before and after, Chen Duxiu in Shanghai, Li Dazhao, Zhang Shenfu in Beijing also discussed the name of the party through letters, and decided to adopt the "Communist Party" as the name of the Chinese proletarian party.
During the Anti-Japanese War, due to the difficult environment, the exact date of the "Great" meeting could not be checked. Therefore, in 1941, the Party Central Committee decided to convene the "four major" and determine the first day of July 1921 as the party's birthday and anniversary.

The congress adopted the constitution of the Party and elected Chen Duxiu as General Secretary, declaring the founding of the Communist Party of China. From then on, a completely new unified working class party with communism as its aim and Marxism-Leninism as its guide of action emerged in China. The birth of the Communist Party of China opened up a new era of China's historical development and took on a new look of the Chinese revolution.
